Donald Trump thanks ‘beautiful’ Brittany Mahomes for her support

Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday gave a special Truth Social shoutout to the “beautiful” Brittany Mahomes, well-known wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, amid blowback after her seeming show of support for his efforts to reclaim the White House.

In a post on his own social media platform, Trump said he appreciated Mahomes for “strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country.”

“With Crime and Illegal Immigration totally out of control, INFLATION Ravaging all Americans, and a World that is laughing at the stupidity of our hapless ‘leaders,’ it is nice to see someone who loves our Country, and wants to save it from DOOM,” he added. “What a great couple — See you both at the Super Bowl!”

Mahomes raised eyebrows last month after she liked one of Trump’s posts titled “The 2024 GOP Platform,” which covered controversial topics, including his plans to “carry out the largest deportation operation in American history,” “keep men OUT of women’s sports,” and “cut federal funding for any school pushing critical race theory, radical gender ideology” or any other content Trump deems “inappropriate.”

Amid the buzz sparked by her social media activity, the 28-year-old Kansas City Current co-owner took aim at her “haters” in a now-expired Instagram story.

“I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep-rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood,” said the soon-to-be mother of three. “There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.”

Mahomes then seemingly doubled down on her pro-Trump stance by liking — and then un-liking — a comment from a supportive Instagrammer.

“Glad to see you aren’t backing down,” it read. “We are all entitled to our own opinions and shouldn’t be bullied into submission.”

Her husband, meanwhile has done his best to avoid any political commentary, and he has not endorsed anyone for president.

“I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain President,” Patrick said during an April interview with Time. “I want people to use their voice, whoever they believe in. I want them to do the research.”
