WALEEFY (4.10 Ascot, nap)
He went close in a stronger contest than this at Newbury last time. He is best over this seven-furlong distance as he showed when scooting in at Doncaster two runs ago. It has taken him a while to hit top gear for trainer William Haggas and there’s more to come.
FRANKELIAN (3.45 Haydock, nb)
Has been crying out for this test of stamina. He was doing his best work at the finish when a promising second on turf at Lingfield last time. Trainer Ralph Beckett puts him in cheekpieces for the first time which could also help off what looks a low mark.
PEDRO VALENTINO (5.20 Ascot, treble)
He has won two of his past three and was a close second over course and distance in between. A 4lb rise for scoring at Yarmouth seems fair and he looks capable of improvement.
HAWAII DU MESTIVEL (2.10 Bangor, Lucky 15)
He was an impressive 16-length winner at Fontwell seven days ago and will be hard to stop under a 7lb penalty in a similar race.
