Body of man pulled from waters of Skokie channel

The body of a man was pulled from the North Shore Channel Thursday morning in a north suburban Skokie park.

About 6:10 a.m., Skokie Police officers responded to a call of a man found in the water in the 8600 block of North McCormick Boulevard in the Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park, according to Illinois State Police.

The unidentified man was pulled out from the water and pronounced dead, state police and the Cook County medical examiner's office said.

No other information was available.
