Two more sessions announced for The Radio Academy Festival

With just two weeks to go until The Radio Academy Festival, two more sessions have been announced for the event.

The day of discussion, debate, sharing and celebration for the audio industry takes place at The Royal College of Physicians at Regent’s Park, London on 18th September.

Building a Winning Podcast Partnership: How To Work With A-List Talent, is the first new session announed today. This expert panel –moderated by Nicole Logan, Executive Producer (Development), Goalhanger, will include Jack Davenport: Co-Founder, Goalhanger; Ami Bennett: Director – Colour It In; and Rhyanna Coleman: Head of Podcasts, YMU.

The session will delve into managing relationships with A-list celebrity talent. The experts will share their strategies for cultivating enduring creative and professional partnerships that achieve both commercial and artistic success.

The discussion will highlight the critical role of transparency, empathy, and efficiency in nurturing these high-stakes relationships.

Also announced today, is a discussion on the Rise of the Podfluencer? BRANDS, PARTNERSHIPS AND ME.

Joining the panel will be Nick Callaghan, Director of Sales, Spotify; Summer Baxter, Head of Brand Partnerships UK, Acast & Nik Gandhi, Marketing Manager, Fresh Air; hosted by TV presenter, radio broadcaster, DJ, journalist and writer, Lauren Layfield.

The Festival opens with a behind the scenes look at one of the key stories of the year, with Broadcaster and Journalist Nick Wallis talking about how his radio documentary The Great British Post Office Trial helped break the story.

Digital media lawyer Cliff Fluet demonstrates the power of AI for producers and creators. He maintains AI is the most consequential tool available to the audio industry – and one that could solve several of its biggest challenges.

Other sessions include How do you break into the industry nowadays; LOL – Why laughter is so important; When did History become so cool?; and PRIDE: On Air and in the Community, across an action-packed day of sessions and talks.

The day will finish with an after-party sponsored by PPL and PRS for Music.
