Is Taylor Swift Attending the NFL Season Opener & Where Will She Be Sitting?

Taylor Swift is set to appear at the NFL season opener between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens this evening (Thursday, September 5)!

Sources are already speaking out about whether she’ll be in attendance, and where she will be sitting.

The 34-year-old pop star is set to cheer on her boyfriend Travis Kelce at the game, a source briefly on security arrangements at Arrowhead Stadium confirmed to the New York Times.

Taylor is a frequent fixture at Travis‘ games: she made her first appearance at a game when the Chiefs played Chicago Bears in Week 3 last year. She also attended the AFC Championship Game and the Super Bowl in Las Vegas earlier this year, which the Chiefs ultimately won.

She’s also in the middle of a two-month Eras Tour break after her European leg ended in August, so she could attend up to five weeks of the season. The tour restarts in October in North America, leading up to Vancouver on December 8.

There are three Eras Tour shows — Oct. 20, Oct. 27 and Dec. 8 — that fall on the same dates as Chiefs regular season games, and four other games in Weeks 9-12 that may be a scheduling challenge due to her tour dates.

On his part, Travis attended several Eras Tour shows around the globe over the past few months, including a surprise on-stage appearance in June at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

When asked by TODAY‘s Craig Melvin about where she will sit at the kickoff game on Thursday (September 5), Chiefs chairman and CEO Clark Hunt says he doesn’t even know.

“No, it’s always a little bit of a surprise, but I’m sure the TV cameras will find her,” he said.
