Lemesos 2030 gets behind local artistic and cultural sector
Almost a year after the first, successful large-scale consultation exercise organised by Lemesos 2030 in November 2023, the European Capital of Culture candidate city is now hosting a second similar exercise titled 10 10 100 – Views on Cultural Spaces. Mainly addressed to the cultural and artistic communities, the event is scheduled to take place on September 21 at Tepak.
One hundred individuals divided across ten tables will express their views, ideas and priorities in the frame of moderated roundtable discussions. Centred around the subject of Cultural Spaces including infrastructures that serve the artistic and cultural production and creation in the city of Limassol, this second edition of 10 10 100 aspires to map the needs and suggestions of artists, cultural stakeholders, producers and associations.
These constructive discussions will be moderated by a ten-member team of Lemesos 2030, consisting of individuals who are themselves weaving the cultural fabric of the city through their daily interaction and involvement with the artistic and cultural sector under the, now established, appealing dictum {Imagine}, Lemesos 2030.
Members of the civil society, artists, cultural associations’ representatives, architects, artistic collectives, groups et al, who wish to take part in these exchanges, are encouraged to fill in and submit the application form (https://forms.gle/c9rfWwfL1MYCwyp66) and participants can join an English- or a Greek-speaking roundtable discussion. Participants will be selected based on their relevance with the cultural sector and the Open Call will end on September 13.
