See where the latest Bibibop eatery is opening in central Ohio
POWELL, Ohio (WCMH) -- Bibibop Asian Grill is opening the doors to its latest central Ohio build-your-own-bowl restaurant on Thursday, and it's offering a chance to win free food for a year on its first day.
The Columbus-based eatery's new storefront is in Powell, at 9551 Galloway Drive. With a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday morning, it will mark the Korean-inspired spot's grand opening before officially welcoming customers at 11 a.m.
On the Powell location's first day, Bibibop is giving 50 random winners free bowls every week for a year. It's also offering $5 off for those wearing orange and free bowls for civic workers during its grand opening.
Customers at Bibibop can build their own bowls with ingredients like potatoes, beans, meat, tofu, vegetables and more. It has a menu designed to promote healthy eating, including for gluten-free, vegan, and protein-packed diets, according to a news release from the restaurant.
In 2023, Bibibop got its start in central Ohio, openings its first-ever location at 1270 W. Fifth Ave. in Grandview Heights. Since then, it has opened dozens of restaurants in a variety of states, including California, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri and Washington, D.C. The 50th Bibibop location was opened in Lewis Center just ahead of its 10-year anniversary in 2023.
