'Gold digger' Melania Trump's new book faces instant ridicule

Former first lady Melania Trump revealed that her new book will be released in October in a video shared to her X account.

However, the video also sparked memories of Mrs. Trump's time in the White House and ridicule for some of her biggest faux pas.

One key point critics made about the upcoming book recalls the incident at the Republican convention when Mrs. Trump copied pieces of former first lady Michelle Obama's speech about her husband.

"I understand this book is a riveting tale of growing up as a young black woman on the south side of Chicago," joked national security lawyer Bradley Moss.

One account for a former CIA lawyer noted the shocking timeline of book's release: "It's just two months until the election. Campaign cash is critical at this point, and Trump is badly behind. So let's check in on ... what the former First Lady is doing to help close the fundraising gap."

Playwright and novelist Paul Rudnick cracked: "Melania posted her memoir will address the 'misrepresentation' she's faced. Such as: 'I'm not a golddigger. I'm a private nurse to a feeble, rich elderly man,' 'I don't hate Ivanka. I don't know who threw all her shoes into that dumpster.' 'I love people. People with bitcoin'."

Others harkened back to Mrs. Trump's time posing nude, asking if her book comes with a "full-color centerfold."

Then, there were the individuals who recalled Mrs. Trump wearing the jacket, reading, "I really don't care, Do U?" Some merely posted the photo of the jacket in response, while others simply said they "don't care."

Former NBC Universal executive Mike Singleton remarked how unusual it was that the ex-president's wife was appearing not to help her husband but to sell her own book.

"Melania Trump appears! No, not to campaign for her husband silly, to sell a book," he posted on X.
