Decomposed body found in Ayia Napa

A decomposed body was found in Ayia Napa on Thursday afternoon, with officers reaching the scene to investigate.

State pathologist Angeliki Papetta was called to the forest area in Ayia Napa as part of efforts to try and identify the body.

Police have cordoned off the scene.

Due to the severe state of decomposition, the body cannot yet be identified.
