Loose Women legend confirms show return 10 years after quitting
POPULAR Loose Women panellist Jane McDonald just announced that she is making her return to the daytime show.
The TV presenter, 61, and singer announced the news on her Instagram page, writing: “Looking forward to joining the Loose Women next Friday 6th September for a good gossip about everything I’ve got coming up!!”
Fans were delighted by the news, with one person writing: “I’ll be tuned in to you Jane. I love you.”
A second person added: “Looking forward to seeing you on Friday Jane and also wondering what you will be wearing.”
Another fan said Jane should join the panel on a regular basis, writing: “Please put your Loose Woman’ hat back on again and rejoin the panel – even if it’s only one day a week! We miss you!”
Jane announced her exciting news alongside a screenshot of the Loose Women logo.
Earlier this year, Jane said she will not be returning to host Loose Women in the future.
Discussing the 25th anniversary special at the time,
A source had told Bella magazine: “Bosses want to go all-out with the celebrations, including bringing back some Loose Women legends. And top of the list is Jane McDonald.
“For many, she is the ultimate Loose Woman and they will do anything to make sure she’s involved.”
But Jane’s rep shut down the claims, telling Entertainment Daily: “There are no discussions taking place with regards to Jane returning to Loose Women whatsoever.
“She always thoroughly enjoys going back as a guest and catching up with the ladies but there’s no plans to go back as a panellist.”
The beloved singer and TV star announced this time last year that she was stepping away from her travel show.
It had aired on Channel 5 and saw Jane on luxury cruises, and exploring Japan.
Then, this year in June, Channel 5 dedicated an entire night of prime time telly to Jane.
Jane appeared on screen with back-to-back episodes of her most memorable shows for the channel.
