Duleep Trophy 2024: Shreyas Iyer fails to Deliver, Dismissed for Just 9 runs

Indian star batter Shreyas Iyer, who was looking to make a comeback in the Test team for India, has failed to perform in the opening match of the Duleep Trophy 2024. Shreyas scored only 9 runs in the first match against India D.

India D came to bat first and did not have a good start, but suffered their first blow at just four runs. When Shreyas came to bat at number three, he got dismissed by Vijaykumar Vaishik after he scored only 9 runs in 16 balls.

After the wicket of Iyer, his team faced another blow at 23 runs followed by three wickets in a row.

Due to this massive blunder, the team lost 5 wickets for 34 runs 10.5 overs. Now Axar Patel and KS Bharat will be looking to handle their innings at the crease.
