Brookfield-backed Data InvIT raises nearly $1 bln in rare bond deal to fund ATC India purchase

Brookfield-backed Data Infrastructure Trust has raised $941 million through rupee bonds to purchase American Tower Corp's local assets. Only foreign investors can subscribe to the 79-billion-rupee issue. The bonds have a quarterly interest rate of 9.99% and mature in five years. Additional funds will be raised via bank loans and equity.
