Over 200 homes in Uttarakhand's Bageshwar district cracked, locals blame mining
Severe land subsidence in Bageshwar district, Uttarakhand, has put over 200 homes at risk. Heavy rains and extensive mining have worsened the situation, causing widespread cracks in roads, fields, and houses. The Uttarakhand Disaster Management Authority has identified 11 vulnerable villages, with around 450 homes at risk. Locals blame large-scale mining operations for the increasing damage.
