Grenade found on farmland in Nicosia district

A grenade was found on farmland in the Nicosia district on Tuesday evening.

According to the police, the grenade was found by an individual at around 6.45pm.

The police were informed and a pyrotechnician was sent to inspect the find.

The pyrotechnician disassembled the grenade and determined that it had been “recently” placed in the location where it was found.

After the grenade was disassembled, it was taken as evidence by the police.

Their investigation into the matter is ongoing.
