Police: Person hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after Southeast Portland shooting
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A person was hospitalized with "life-threatening injuries" after a shooting in Southeast Portland overnight, authorities said.
The Portland Police Bureau responded to reports of a shooting near Southeast 127th Avenue and Stark Street just after 1 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
When officers arrived, "they determined there was a struggle between two people known to each other and one person had been shot," a PPB spokesperson confirmed to KOIN 6 in an email.
The agency reported the suspect fled and the victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
PPB's Enhanced Community Safety responded to investigate the scene, officials said.
