Biden-Harris is Trying to Put Another Pro-Life American in Prison for Protesting Abortion

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has sued a pro-life activist for violating the FACE Act by locking himself in a Planned Parenthood clinic bathroom, forcing the clinic to shut down for the day.

Christian Post reports that the DOJ sued Michigan resident Matthew Connolly “for violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act by participating in a Red Rose Rescue at an abortion clinic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in August 2021.”

Assistant Attorney General of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division Kristen Clarke stated, according to Christian Post, that Connolly “engaged in conduct calculated to shut down a reproductive health clinic for an entire day, forcing the evacuation of the clinic’s patients and obstructing access to reproductive health services.”

The lawsuit states that Connolly “obtained illegal access to a secure patient space at a Planned Parenthood facility in Philadelphia without staff permission or knowledge and barricaded himself in a restroom.”

Connolly stayed in the bathroom for over three hours, ignoring the staff’s requests for him to leave, according to Christian Post. The staff and clients evacuated the building.

The Philadelphia Police Department was also unable to convince Connolly to leave the restroom. The streets around the abortion clinic were closed and a SWAT team came, breaking down the door. The SWAT team removed Connolly on a stretcher.

The staff team found red roses in the waiting room once they came back, and the group Red Rose Rescue took responsibility for Connolly’s actions one week later on their website.

Red Rose Rescue stated, “Due to the Red Rose Rescue, no unborn children were killed at this PP clinic,” which matched the lawsuits’ complaint that 44 surgical appointments had to be rescheduled.

Christian Post further reports that the DOJ is seeking $18,444 for first violations and $27,750 for second violations, in addition to $5,000 for each person “aggrieved” by Connoly’s actions.
