EC enforces exit poll ban during J-K Assembly elections

The Election Commission has banned the release of exit polls during the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections-2024. This prohibition, under the Representation of the People Act, 1951, starts from September 18 and continues until October 5. Violators may face imprisonment or fines. The elections will be held in three phases on September 18, September 25, and October 1.
