A controversial U-turn: NMC reintroduces controversial topics like 'hymen', 'lesbianism' and importance of virginity
The National Medical Commission has reinstated previously removed topics in the forensic medicine and toxicology curriculum for undergraduate medical students. These include controversial subjects like sodomy, lesbianism, and definitions of virginity. The revised curriculum also covers legal competencies and various sexual perversions, aiming to develop an Indian Medical Graduate with comprehensive medico-legal knowledge.
