Off-duty NYPD officer smelled of alcohol after Bronx crash: cops
BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – An off-duty NYPD officer stands accused of driving under the influence and crashing into a parked car in the Bronx, according to police.
Xiomara Goodsell, 32, was arrested Wednesday around 1:47 a.m. near Bruckner Boulevard after crashing into an unoccupied parked car, according to the NYPD. She refused to take a breath test but smelled of alcohol and slurred her speech, police said.
No one was injured in the crash, police said.
Goodsell has been an officer since 2017 and was most recently assigned to patrolling NYCHA developments in the Bronx, city records show.
