1. Uncommon Grounds opens in Queensbury

Uncommon Grounds has officially opened in Queensbury. The shop opened Wednesday morning at 751 Upper Glen Street in the former Recovery Sports Grill space.

2. Troy mayor to increase patrols at Poestenkill Gorge after drowning

Mayor Carmella Mantello told NEWS10 that the city intends to patrol the area of Poestenkill Gorge Park more frequently after a man drowned and died on Sunday.

3. Fire on Addison Street in Gloversville

All building residents evacuated safely and firefighters rescued three cats and two snakes. Sadly, one cat perished in the fire.

4. Advocates release new details about herbicide added to Lake George

Environmental advocates released new details about the impacts of an herbicide that was added to parts of Lake George. The Lake George Association said the herbicide, known as ProcellaCOR, removed an invasive species from parts of the lake, but it did not get rid of it completely.

5. Family, friends share memories of Glenville crash victims 

Loved ones shared memories of the four young victims of that deadly Glenville crash over Labor Day weekend. John Kemp’s mom tells NEWS10 he was her only son and he had just lost his half-brother the day before.
