Shivaji statue would not have collapsed, had it been made of stainless steel, says Gadkari

Union minister Nitin Gadkari stated that the use of stainless steel could have prevented the collapse of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's statue in Sindhudurg. He emphasized the importance of rust-resistant materials in coastal areas. Police have issued a lookout circular against contractor Jaydeep Apte, while structural consultant Chetan Patil has been arrested.
