Two found dead in Crowley home over the weekend, investigation underway

CROWLEY, La. (KLFY)-- An investigation is underway after two people were found dead inside their home in Shady Oaks Homes on Saturday.
Authorities said police were patrolling the area when they were flagged down by someone reporting a dead body. When police entered the home, they discovered the bodies of Milton Zimmerman and Kif Latiolais.
Crowley Police Chief Troy Hebert said the deaths are believed to be related to fentanyl, saying narcotics were found at the scene.
"We're not sure exactly what caused the deaths. We are believing that it's fentanyl-related," Hebert said. "We did recover some stuff that we sent into the lab, and autopsies should be able to show exactly what the cause was."
Hebert said they are still in the early stages of the investigation.
"We'd appreciate any assistance the public can give us in this," Hebert said.
