New Immunotherapy Shows Potential to Shrink Metastatic Solid Tumors

A new personalized immunotherapy using engineered white blood cells successfully shrank solid cancerous tumors in some patients, a study published in Nature Medicine found. The results came from a larger ongoing clinical trial and focused on 7 patients with metastatic colorectal cancer who’d already undergone other treatments and were enrolled in the trial from 2018 to 2023.
