Uber offering free rides for new account users during back-to-school season

NEW YORK (PIX11)—Uber is celebrating back-to-school season by offering new teen account users a free month of rides and food. 

As teens grab all the back-to-school supplies needed for another successful school year, Uber wants to help parents and teens by offering rides and access to their favorite food spots. 

“Teen accounts are built with transparency in mind so that there are no surprises for parents, teens, or drivers,” said Mariana Esteves, Product Manager at Uber. “We’re thrilled to offer this innovative feature to families in more cities across the U.S., with key safety features built into the heart of the experience.”

In addition to free rides for teens, Uber also offers college students who sign up for Uber One special pricing and discounts on Starbucks, Taco Bell, and Wendy’s. New users can claim this promotion until Sep. 30th by signing up for an Uber account here. 

There is a limit of up to six rides, each capped at a maximum of $20 per ride, and up to six food orders, with a maximum of $20 per food order.

This new promotion is only applicable to new users.
