Critics pile on Lara Trump's music: 'She can't sing to save her life'

0

She released a song dedicated to first responders called "Hero," but Lara Trump's critics are calling her vocal stylings not so heroic.

Trump, the Republican National Committee (RNC) co-chair and daughter-in-law of former President Trump, released her tune with singer Madeline Jaymes last month.

While some social media users commended it as "beautiful and powerful" when it went viral in recent days, others mocked her voice and accused her of using auto-tune.

"I just played Lara Trump’s garbage and both my dogs ran in and begged me to shoot off fireworks instead," one user posted on X

"She needs to give it up!! The other girl can sing but Lara can’t sing to save her life," another opined.

Another critic asked Vice President Harris if she could pass legislation "that prevents Lara Trump from singing? The world needs a hero."

"This new Lara Trump 'single' is the worst thing I have heard since her last one. Wow," said another X critic.

In the "Hero" music video, Lara Trump praises first responders with lines such as: "Without your bravery we're all out of luck / No this can't be denied / You gotta be special."

A RNC spokesperson didn't immediately respond to ITK's request for comment on the criticism.

It's not the first time that Trump's gone public with a singing project.

Last year, she released a cover of Tom Petty's 1989 hit, "I Won't Back Down."

She seemingly pushed back on her "fans in the liberal media" earlier this year, releasing another single, "Anything is Possible," and vowing to unveil more tunes in the future.
