MoD to acquire new India-made tanks, other arms worth Rs 1.4 lakh crore

The defence ministry has approved the acquisition of Indian-made tanks, warships, radars, and aircraft worth over Rs 1.44 lakh crore. This includes replacing the Russian-origin T72 tanks with Future Ready Combat Vehicles under the Make in India initiative. The Coast Guard will also acquire new aircraft and patrol vessels.
