Amazon slashes little-known Android mobile from £449 to £339 as customers claim they are ‘smitten with performance’

AMAZON has launched an impressive saving on a little-known Android smartphone.

Customers can pick up the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G for just £399, down from £499.

When it comes to upgrading your smartphone, big-name brands such as Apple, Samsung, and Google may come to mind.

However, if you shop around you can find a range of devices from lesser-known brands that promise to rival fellow tech titans without breaking the bank.

While scouring sales on Amazon, I spotted an impressive Android offer on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, and it comes with a 24% discount.

The bargain device offers an array of high-end features, and while it’s not designed by one of the more well-known names in the world of tech, customers claim that they’re ”absolutely smitten” when it comes to its performance.

The first thing to discuss is the phone’s 6.67-inch AMOLED display and 3D curved design.

Created with tech improvements in mind, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G boasts curved front and rear sides and delivers bright and vivid colours to elevate your viewing experience.

However, it was the device’s 200MP camera with OIS that initially caught my eye.

The phone features a 200MP wide camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera, providing you with all the tech you need to take the best pictures.

Whether you’re snapping the perfect selfie, or you’re looking to capture more of life’s moments, the choice of cameras allows you to take pro-level pictures no matter what time of the day.

The smartphone also features optical image stabilisation (OIS), electronic image stabilisation (EIS), and a variety of AI tools.

This means that customers will no longer have to worry about their hands shaking or capturing unclear images and videos, (we’ve all been there) as the technology works just as well as a tripod would.

And that’s not all; also on the list of my favourite features is the phone’s battery life, which is one of the biggest benefits of purchasing a bargain device.

This is because the more affordable options do not come equipped with super-speed processors or top-end hardware, and are therefore less likely to drain your battery.

Customers can expect charging to reach full capacity in just 19 minutes, allowing you to get more out of your mobile phone compared to pricier offerings, and shoppers agree.

One reviewer said: ”I am already a fan of Xiaomi Redmi as I bought this to replace my 3-year-old Note 10 Pro. Wow, I wasn’t disappointed.

”Higher spec with the camera, higher processing so faster speed, lighter and smaller it rivals any of the big name brands.

”Not sure if it’s because I already had a Xiaomi phone but no mi adverts and the transfer of phones was easy.

”This easily rivals my husband’s S23 and it’s a quarter of the price. Highly recommend it if you are wanting a cheaper smartphone with a high-end feel that does the same as the big brand.

”Use my phone every day and keep it’s charge. Also came with headphones and a case in the box with the charger which was a nice touch. I wouldn’t go back to any other brand now I’ve found Xiaomi.”

Meanwhile, a second shopper added: ”I got this for my son’s birthday at his request, he’s extremely happy with it, everything about the phone i.e. build, quality, performance, screen and presentation are all superb.

”My son does photography and he rates the camera on this phone as amazing at this sort of price range, fantastic purchase.”

Luckily for tech fans, this isn’t the only great offer you can currently score.

Just a few days ago, my fellow tech shopping writer Rhys Melhado-Thompson spotted an unmissable deal on the Galaxy S23, which costs less than £26 per month and comes with a free set of earbuds and £100 cashback.

Or, why not save on a smartwatch?

Shoppers can currently score a staggering 70% off the Kuizil 1.91-inch smart accessory from Amazon.
