‘We have to go!’ shoppers scream as Primark launch cosy adult range of onesies & slippers from cult 80s show
SHOPPERS are racing down to their local Primark store to nab sleepwear from a nostalgic children’s show.
And with prices starting from as little as £2 it’s easy to see why the Primark collection is hard to resist.
The budget retailer is now selling a collection of Sesame Street nightwear and accessories to get you ready for chilly evenings.
Sesame Street is a hit TV show form the 80s featuring classic puppets like Big Bird, Elmo and the Cookie Monster.
From fluffy socks to make-up bags and onesies – Primark has it all.
Fans of the Children’s show can celebrate their love by bagging their fluffy socks for just £2 a pair as well as cosy slippers for £5 a pair.
Also available is a red fluffy Elmo make-up bag for £8 that’s perfect for sleepovers.
The onesies come in four variations including the Cookie Monster, Elmo, Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch and are £24 each.
Primark bosses say: “Take a trip down memory lane with this Sesame Street onesie!
“Perfect for transforming into your favourite childhood character, this option resembles the street’s grumpiest resident, Oscar the Grouch.
“It enjoys a borg texture for a cosy feel that’s boosted by its long sleeves and fitted cuffs, just what you want to change into after a long day. Arriving in his signature green, it showcases a Sesame Street embroidery on the chest, while the hood is decorated with his big eyes and fluffy orange eyebrows to help bring this icon to life.

Primark shared a video of the new range on TikTok and it was a hit with shoppers.
“This is your sign to go get matching Sesame Street onesies with your bestie,” they captioned the post.
Many took to the comments and seemingly couldn’t wait to get their hands on the collection.
