Vehicle kills man on 101 Freeway in Woodland Hills

A man was hit by a vehicle and killed Tuesday morning on the 101 Freeway in the Woodland Hills area.

Officers were sent to the southbound 101 Freeway near Winnetka Avenue about 6 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Information was not immediately available on the identity of the fatally injured man, who died at the scene.

Some traffic lanes were blocked in the area while an investigation was conducted.
