Trump's biggest brag is target of new Republican Voters Against Trump ad
Donald Trump prides himself on his ability to entertain — bragging about huge crowds lapping up his every word. Now, one anti-Trump group sees that as a prime target to hit.
Republican Voters Against Trump is launching a multi-million-dollar ad campaign showcasing those who abandoned Trump after supporting him. Some cite Jan. 6 as a contributing factor while others cite his treatment of women. But there's one area where most agree — they're bored with him.
And the group has it in its crosshairs.
Speaking to MSNBC on Tuesday, Sarah Longwell, the director of the group and a longtime GOP pollster, said the ad will play in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona and Nebraska.

"You've got to build a permission structure for Republican, soft GOP voters, right-leaning independents, people who maybe even voted for Donald Trump — everybody in our campaign has voted for Donald Trump at least once. But they're out on him," said Longwell.
She added that, in the focus groups she's spoken to, there is a "tremendous openness" to voting for Harris from those who voted for Trump in 2016 but may have voted previously for Barack Obama. Longwell said that those voters are just now beginning to pay attention to the race.
Folks also tell her, "Just because I voted for Trump or just because I identify as a Republican, I'm interested in voting for Kamala Harris, and I'm going to do it because Donald Trump either presents such a threat or, I'll tell you, actually what we hear from a lot of these voters more than anything else is people are bored by Trump.
"They're bored with all of the drama. They're tired of the insults. They're tired of the lies about the election. They want to know what somebody is going to do for them."
She said Harris is piquing their interest because she is new and they don't know her well.
