PCB’s Fumble that Cost Pakistan the Series against Bangladesh

Pakistan saw their all-time low point after they faced a 2-0 loss to Bangladesh in a Test series in their home ground. Pakistan were massively expected to win, but it turned out otherwise as they lost to the Bangladesh.

The team saw a 10-wicket defeat in the first Test and followed by 6 wickets in the second Test.

Pakistan itself is to blame for this loss. The team was not up to the mark, floppy in fielding and took the series too casually, dropping important catches and let the game go out of their hands.

It has now been revealed that PCB had not taken any fitness test before this Test series. An earlier report claimed that PCB will take fitness test of the players. However, a Pakistani journalist Arfa Feroz, revealed that there was no fitness test conducted. If this is true, this could turn out to be a big fumble by Pakistan as fitness is one of the main factor while selection in the teams.

The defeat also shook the chances of Pakistan reaching the World Test championship finals. The team is still in the race, but the future is a bit difficult for them now.
