Ex-PCB Chairman turns down Rumours of Pakistan Team not having ‘Unity’
Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Zaka Ashraf straight up denied about the rumours about there being any sort of divisions in the dressing room.
There were rumours about things not being good among a few cricketers, which was being considered to be the main reason for the downfall of the team across different formats and tournaments.
Rumours of Shaheen Afridi being appointed as T20I skipper and Shan Masood being the test captain did spark a fire in the dressing room were straight denied by Ashraf.
Since Pakistan could not qualify for the knockout stage of the World Cup, Babar Azam dropped out from his place as the captain from all formats, but after just a single series, Babar was named as the T20I captain once again.

“There were no differences between Babar Azam and Shaheen even after I decided to have the latter as the T20 captain. No, the unity didn’t end (after removing Babar Azam as captain). The unity improved. When we told him to play as a player, which is his talent, but as a captain, his performance is not good, he agreed,” Ashraf said while speaking on Samaa TV.
