Jasprit Bumrah begins Intense Training in Nets before IND vs BAN series- WATCH
Jasprit Bumrah has begun his training for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which will begin in Chennai on 19 September. In one of his recent post on social media, Bumrah was spotted working on his bowling in the nets. Bumrah made his last appearance for the team in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where he was named as the Player Of The Match. He was then put to rest when India toured Sri Lanka and also for the upcoming Duleep Trophy so he could focus on tests.
Bumrah has currently played 36 Tests for India and has taken 159 wickets, while making 10 five-wicket hauls. The most recent appearance made by him was against England earlier this year.
He also recently told about his mindset when asked about the most challenging batter he has had to bowl to.
“Look I want to give a good answer but the real factor is that I don’t want anyone to take over me in my head because obviously, I respect everyone, but in my head, I tell myself that if I do my job well, there’s nobody in the world who can stop me”, he told.
Bumrah is important for India in the upcoming three-match Test series against New Zealand and Border-Gavaskar Trophy later this year in Australia. Though it is still not finalised if he will be selected for the Test series against Bangladesh.
