Two remanded for Ayia Napa mugging

Two people, aged 34 and 21, were remanded for eight days on Tuesday in connection with a mugging on August 30 in Ayia Napa.

Famagusta district court heard an 18-year-old had been assaulted in the early hours of August 30, while he was walking in Ayia Napa.

His attackers stole his mobile phone and wallet. The 18-year-old later found his credit card had been used to make transfers to other accounts.

Police are continuing investigations.
