Burglar uses doggie door to enter Campbell residence

Aug. 26

VEHICLE THEFT: 1300 block of Munro Avenue. A white 2006 Chevy Express van was stolen.

BURGLARY: 600 block of Creekside Way. Someone broke into a vehicle, stole around $5,000 worth of satellite and drone equipment and siphoned around $100 worth of gas.

BURGLARY: 400 block of Phoenix Drive. Someone accessed a work van and stole a backpack containing a tablet and routers.

THREATEN CRIME WITH INTENT TO TERRORIZE: 2200 block of South Bascom Avenue. A man entered a store and threatened to beat up the victim because they told him he was not welcome in the store.

GRAND THEFT: 100 block of Hardy Avenue. Someone stole laundry that had been left on the front porch to be picked up by the resident’s laundry service.

Aug. 27

BURGLARY: 1000 block of West Hacienda Avenue. Someone forced entry into the toolbox in a white Ford F250 and stole power tools.

TRESPASS: 2400 block of Winchester Boulevard. A woman had been previously admonished and told she would be arrested if she returned to the business. She returned and was placed under arrest.

PETTY THEFT, UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A  CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue. A man was reported as stealing. He was found to be in possession of the stolen merchandise and burglary tools, and under the influence of a stimulant. He was also a parolee at large with a no-bail felony warrant.

RETAIL THEFT, POSSESSION OF A  STOLEN VEHICLE: 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue. A woman and a man entered a store and conspired to steal items. The woman fled from officers before eventually being located. The man was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and burglary tools, as well as a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

ROBBERY: 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. A man stole a decoration valued at $50 by force, then lunged toward the victim when the he tried to take it back.

Aug. 28

THEFT: 900 block of Steinway Avenue. The victim met the suspect through a group chat on an app. The suspect offered to exchange foreign currency for US currency. The victim had her son-in-law conduct a bank transfer for $5,000 USD to suspect’s bank account. The victim has not received any US currency from the suspect, who blocked the victim on the app.

RESISTING PEACE OFFICER, PETTY THEFT: Campisi Way and South Bascom Avenue. A pedestrian stop was conducted on a man who was revealed to have committed a theft. During the investigation, he became uncooperative and repeatedly disobeyed officers’ commands. He was arrested and later booked into jail.

PETTY THEFT: 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue. A man cut security devices off shoes and walked out of the business with property in a bag. He had warrants and was booked.

VANDALISM: 00 block of North First Street. Someone used permanent marker to vandalize a door; they wrote obscenities.

Aug. 29

CONTEMPT OF COURT: 900 block of East Hamilton Avenue. A man violated a workplace restraining order by going on the property and was arrested.

Aug. 30

BURGLARY: 300 block of East Hamilton Avenue. Two masked suspects attempted to force entry to the front and rear doors of a business while driving a white Ram 1500 pick-up truck. They were interrupted and fled the scene without making entry.

PETTY THEFT: 200 block of East Hamilton Avenue. A license plate was stolen and reinstalled on a white Ram 1500 pickup.

INDECENT EXPOSURE: 00 block of West Campbell Avenue. A man was reportedly masturbating in public. During a search incident arrest, a stolen wallet was located.

Aug. 31

GRAND THEFT: 900 block of Harrison Avenue. The victim claimed the suspect used his credit card without his permission and stole his cellphones. The suspect was interviewed and denied these claims.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 100 block of Echo Avenue. A woman was contacted at a stranger’s residence and found to be too intoxicated to care for herself. She was placed under arrest and booked.

RETAIL THEFT: 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue. Two suspects entered a  business together and shoplifted approximately $500 worth of merchandise. They fled in a white Toyota Camry.

ANNOYING TELEPHONE CALL, BATTERY, ROBBERY: 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. During a verbal argument, a man shoved the victim. When the victim was going to call 911, he took her phone out of her hand by force. He also threatened to kill the victim and has been making annoying phone calls to her. He was in possession of cocaine.

Sept. 1

BURGLARY: 100 block of South Leigh Avenue. Someone entered a residence via a dog door. and stole jewelry.

VEHICLE THEFT: The Pruneyard on South Bascom Avenue. Dispatch received a FLOCK hit for a Toyota Prius stolen out of Fremont. The driver was stopped and detained in handcuffs. He said he bought the vehicle from the suspect for $6,000. The victim said the suspect was a mechanic and was supposed to fix his vehicle but never returned it.
