'1000-Lb. Sisters' Star Amy Slaton Arrested for Child Endangerment & Drug Possession

Amy Slaton, well known as a reality star on TLC’s 1,000-Lb. Sisters, was arrested on Monday (September 2).

The 36-year-old TV personality was involved in an incident at Tennessee Safari Park in Crockett County, Tennessee.

The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department provided the following update: “It was no ordinary Labor Day in Crockett County. Deputies were requested to respond to Safari Park where a guest allegedly was bitten by a camel. Upon arrival, deputies were immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicle.”

“Amy Slaton Halterman, “1,000-Lb. Sisters” reality TV star, was arrested on illegal possession of Schedule I, illegal possession of Schedule VI, and two counts of child endangerment.”

They added that a man named Brian Scott Lovvorn was also inside the vehicle at the time, and is facing the same charges. The Sheriff’s Department added, “The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.”

Amy has two children with ex husband Michael Halterman: Gage Deon, 4, and Glenn Allen, 2.

There have been two other TLC couples that have split recently: the Plaths and the Derricos.
