Bengali theatre personality returns state award over R G Kar issue

Bengali theatre personality Biplab Bandyopadhyay has returned his 'Best Theatre Director' award in protest against the state's handling of the rape-murder case of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Hospital. He criticized the state government and police for allegedly hiding facts. Other theatre groups and Durga Puja committees have also shown their dissatisfaction.
