MERIDEN (KSNT) - Jefferson West schools could soon be getting some renovations.

The "Jeff West Vote Yes Committee" is holding a community meeting to discuss the November vote on a bond project to improve the district's facilities.

The proposal includes improvements to the elementary, middle, and high schools as well as the early childhood center.

According to the district's website, the project could include everything from new classrooms to foundation repairs, and even a connection between the middle and high schools to serve as a space for various school events.

The district says the community currently ranks in the bottom 7% in Kansas for contributions to their school district.

According to a Facebook post, the informational meeting takes place Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the Jeff West High School commons.
