FAIRVIEW, Ore. (KOIN) -- Two days after a small plane crashed into a Fairview townhouse federal investigators remain at the scene collecting evidence and talking with residents.

Two people aboard the plane died in the crash and one person was killed when the plane hit, officials with the Gresham Fire Department confirmed late Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened around 10:20 a.m. when the plane went down near the Troutdale airport. The Federal Aviation Administration identified the aircraft as a twin-engine Cessna 421C. Officials said that on the way down, the plane hit a power pole before crashing into a townhome building in Fairview Terrace.

The crash ignited fires in the townhouses.

Angelica Vasquez told KOIN 6 News her house was the nearest one without any damage.

"The only thing that we saw was like, things knocked off the walls and we thought it was flooded at the bottom, but it was just because they had their water hose went through the bottom of the door," she said Monday. "But thankfully nothing else got damaged."

Officials have not yet released the names of the victims in this crash.

KOIN 6 News will have more information later in the day.
