SHOPPERS are rushing to clear the B&M shelves for popular kids’ books scanning for a single pound.
Down from its usual £7.99, it is a whopping 87 per cent discount.
Peter Rabbit books are being sold off the B&M shelves for just £1.
Posting to Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook, a savvy shopper noticed four of them on special.
They included Happy Birthday, Goodnight Peter, Three Little Bunnies and Starting School.
The famed Peter Rabbit character first appeared on Beatrix Potter‘s “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” back in 1902.
There are six books by Potter featuring Peter Rabbit, estimated to have sold more than 150million copies.
More than 120 years after Peter Rabbit was created parents are still desperate to snap up specials for the books.
Responding to the B&M deal, one shopper said they’d “keep an eye out for these”.
Another said: “Am going to pick some of these up.”
A third added: “I need a couple.”
While a fourth chimed in with: “I want all the books.”
Some of them can also be bought online for £1.
The discount retailer has Secret Mission, Treehouse Rescue, Football Fever and Happy Birthday all for £1 on the website now.
For context, Happy Birthday is selling on Amazon for £5.99, and on the official Beatrix Potter website for £6.99.
Peter Rabbit is a collection of 23 tales. The character has in more recent times featured on TV series on films.
Peter Rabbit’s standing in British culture is such that there’s even a 50p coin featuring an imprint of him.
It is quite rare, selling for up to £840 on eBay.
