Off-duty parole officer shoots suspect in Bronx club shooting: NYPD

NEW YORK (PIX11) – An off-duty parole officer shot the suspect in a Bronx club shooting early Monday morning, according to the NYPD.

It happened at The Kutty Lounge in Allerton around 1:45 a.m. A 37-year-old man was shot in the right leg and a 40-year-old was shot in the torso, according to authorities.

The 40-year-old victim was critically injured, per police. Both were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.

Several police cruisers and ambulances were seen outside the location, according to video posted to Citizen App.

It's not known if the shooting happened inside or outside the club. Police have not revealed if the suspect was arrested and what condition they're in.
