Costco membership increase goes into effect

NEW YORK (PIX11) -- The day Costco members have dreaded for months is finally here.

Costco membership fees increased on Sunday by $5 to $10 annually, according to the chain. Now, Gold Star, Business and Business Add-on/Affiliate memberships are $65 per year, and Executive memberships are $130.

It's the first price increase to Costco membership fees since 2017.
