Kohr Explores: Swimmers prepare to cross the Columbia

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- One of the country's most iconic open-water swimming events returns to the Columbia River today.

The Columbia River Cross Channel Swim dates back to the 1940s making it an annual tradition for the Columbia Gorge.

KOIN 6 News' Kohr Harlan visited Cascade Locks to get an early look at the event.
