Chelsea fans fume ‘why are we wasting talents?’ as wonderkid who has never played a game closes in on permanent exit

CHELSEA fans are fuming at the club amid news a £13million wonderkid is reportedly set to leave.

Brazilian youngster Angelo Gabriel joined Chelsea from Santos in the summer of 2023 but has not featured for the first team.

Chelsea want to try to make a quick profit on the 19-year-old after buying him for £13m last summer[/caption]

The 19-year-old headed out on loan to the Blues’ sister club Strasbourg last season.

The winger played 25 times, chalking up four assists but failing to score.

However, following another summer of heavy spending from the Stamford Bridge outfit, the highly-rated youngster has now been deemed surplus to requirements.

And according to reports, Angelo is now on the verge of completing a transfer to Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Al-Nassr.

BBC Sport reports Chelsea transfer chiefs believe they can make a quick profit by selling the Brazil Under-20 international.

This report has sparked fury among Chelsea fans, who view the move as another talent being wasted.

One fan said: “Promising talent wasted.”

A second said: “Ruined him.”

A third added: “Why are we wasting talents. Why buy him in the first place? They need to put a stop to this.”

A fourth said: “Deserved a PL chance.”

A fifth said: “Chelsea ruining another youngster’s dream.”

Clubs in the Middle East are trying to make the most of new registration rules giving them an exemption on overseas limits for younger players.

Chelsea drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace at the weekend, leaving them with four points from three games to start the season.

Enzo Maresca‘s side face Bournemouth away next.
