Portal connecting New York City and Dublin closes permanently
FLATIRON DISTRICT, Manhattan (PIX11) – The portal connecting New York and Dublin will shut down permanently on Monday.
The art installation on 5th Avenue and 23rd Street in the Flatiron District offered a live video stream between the two cities.
The portal, which was meant to be a 24/7 livestream between the U.S. and Ireland, opened back in May but temporarily closed a week later due to bad behavior. It reopened with limited hours.
The portal will head to a new city to connect two more communities.
