Crews working fire in SE Topeka

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Firefighters are working the scene of a large fire in Southeast Topeka on Monday morning.

At 6:16 a.m., firefighters were called to 21st and Southeast Lakewood Boulevard for reports of smoke. Shawnee County Dispatch confirmed the scene is still active. A Topeka resident told 27 News the smoke could be seen from a long distance.

The call was reported near the Lakewood Shelter House.
