SUSANNA Reid was left fuming after a high-profile guest delivered a cutting blow during her Good Morning Britain return.

The ITV presenter, 53, was left choking back tears early in Monday’s episode, as she spoke to a grieving mother whose teenager had been brutally killed with a Ninja sword.

Yet Susanna‘s sadness quickly turned to fury as comedian Jimmy Tarbuck, 84, arrived on the Good Morning Britain set.

Jimmy, who is set to tour the UK with his brand new stage show, opened up on his family’s secret nickname for her.

He referred to her former GMB co-host Piers Morgan, 59, in the somewhat backhanded remark and said: “Do you know what my kids called you?

“Think of the guy you worked with a lot, used to.

“You’re him… in a wig. Piers Morgan in a wig.”

He then quickly clarified: “Oh no, that’s a compliment!”

Susanna, who was clearly shocked, the replied: “Oh I’m glad you pointed that out as a compliment because I’m not sure that sounds like a compliment!”

Piers presented GMB from 2015 to 2021.

He dramatically quit Good Morning Britain back in March 2021 following a huge on-air row.

He stormed off the set after he was slated by co-star Alex Beresford for his comments towards Meghan Markle, leading him to quit the show.

At the time ITV released a statement to confirm that he had left the breakfast show.

Jimmy’s nickname, meanwhile, is no doubt referring to the pair’s dogged interview techniques.

Earlier in the episode, Susanna admitted “it makes me feel sick” as she and co-presenter Ed Balls, 57, tackled a hugely emotional interview.

The Good Morning Britain favourites were chatting to grieving mother Pooja Kanda, who lost 16-year-old son Ronan in 2022 after he was murdered in a case of mistaken identity.

The schoolboy – who Pooja described as “charismatic” – was stabbed with a Ninja sword in a case of mistaken identity as he walked the streets of Wolverhampton listening to his music.

In the ITV daytime studio, producers had brought a host of huge knives and they sat in a display cabinet alongside the discussion.

As they arrived on-set, Susanna confessed: “It makes me feel sick.

“I feel sick just being in the presence of them.”

Meanwhile, Susanna’s long-awaited telly return came after her “wild” holiday in Ibiza with her sons.

On Monday’s episode, she showed off her vacation glow in a crisp white blouse and bright blue blazer.
