Digital Bharat Nidhi to fund provisioning of telecom services in urban areas now

The Rs 80,000 crore Digital Bharat Nidhi will now support telecommunication services in urban areas with added benchmarks for affordability and enhanced security. The former Universal Services Obligation Fund has been expanded to support innovation, research, and green technologies, furthering India's mission of becoming digitally connected and self-reliant by 2047.
