All rounder Manoj Bhandage, who was benched by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) along with being sent down the order by his captain, stole the spotlight when he smashed an unbeaten 44 run in just 13 balls.

Bhandage’s knock, along with the fifties by SU Karthik and Nair helped the team make a total of 207/4. During the chase, opener LR Chethan made a fifty, but it was of no use as the Blasters only managed to score 162/8 on the board.

Quick rundown on the big scores:

CA fell early on the wicket with a single digit score, whereas Karthik made full use of the powerplay. By the 6th over the team had post 52/1. Karthik marked his half century in the 9th over. The partnership was then broken in the 14th over by Shubhang Hegde.

Harshil Dharmani was taken down in the next over. Then Bhandage hit two consecutive sixes against Hegde . Nair also hit his half century by the 17th over with a six and two fours. Before getting dismissed, Nair hit another six and a four, closing his score on 66 runs.
