Umpire Simon Taufel Confused after Pakistan’s Fielders Fumble on a Simple Catch

Badly done fielding by Pakistan fielders have often made their way to the headlines. On Day 2 of the second Test against Bangladesh, Pakistan’s fielders made the same mistake, and it was not one or two, but three fielders in the slip who failed to grab the ball one-after-other.

This happened when the ball was given to Hamza. He sent a length delivery and the pitch added a decent bounce to it. The ball was edged by Shadman towards Shakeel. He dropped the catch and fourth fielder Saim Ayub tried to hold it. Ayub also could not hold it and third fielder Azam made a dive, but the ball had already bounced. Umpire Simon Taufel was stunned with this sight as he tried to understand what mess they made in the slip section.

Hamza did not show a tantrum of the situation as the ball was dropped off the first ball. In fact, he started walking back to his place while the other fielders rued the opportunity which they missed.
